Q: You talked about money, land, computer, telephone, employees, accounts receivable and motor vehicles. Can you please give some more examples of assets?

Buildings you own
Land you own (for agricultural or other use)
A mine you own
Materials for manufacturing something (like wood for manufacturing chairs)
Investments, like shares in another company
Stationery
Books, DVDs, etc.

ASSET ARE THOSE THINGS WITH VALUE WHICH GIVES YOUR BUSINESS BENEFITS IN THE FUTURE AND ALSO THAT YOU CAN CHANGE INTO CASH...

THERE ARE TWO TYPE OF ASSETS:

LONG-TERM
LONG TERM ASSETS ARE THOSE ASSETS WHICH GIVE YOUR BUSINESS LONG BENEFITS. LAND, MACHINERY, ETC

SHORT TERM ASSET
SHORT TERM ARE THOSE WHICH GIVE YOUR BUSINESS BENEFITS FOR A PARTICULAR TIME. FOR EXAMPLE:
Cash
Marketable securities
Trade accounts receivable
Employee accounts receivable
Prepaid expenses (such as prepaid rent or prepaid insurance)
Inventory of all types (raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods)

More Examples of Assets

Assets are 2 types:
Current and Non-current
Current: Anything that adds value and can be realized immediately.
Non-Current: Anything that extends values even into the future: Example: patents, buildings, furniture, equipments etc.
