Cash Flow Statement - Other Formats

by Tito

Q:Are there any other formats of the cash flow statement?

A:Hi Tito, there is no other format for the cash flow statement as far as I am aware. However, depending on who the cash flow statement is prepared for, some terms in the cash flow statement could change (and maybe an extra line here or there). For example if the cash flow is prepared for a publicly traded company it will include dividends paid to shareholders. But if it is a partnership (which does not have dividends) then it will just have a "profit distribution" (or similar term) instead of dividends paid.
