Accounting Exams
As mentioned before, Accounting Basics for Students does not have exams available for practice or to purchase, but we do however have lots of exercises in our
Basic Accounting Book.
You can also search for free accounting questions published by fellow students on this site on specific topics by using the site search bar on the top right of your screen.
However, if you are looking specifically for exam questions you can practice, I would recommend checking out
AccountingCoach Pro.
I went through some of the exams they have to offer and I've included a brief review of a few of them below. Note that their E-books (below) are no longer available to purchase separately but are part of an all-inclusive membership you purchase at AccountingCoach Pro.Here are some of the exam E-books offered on Accounting Coach's website:
Bookkeeping Proficiency Exam
This E-book from Accounting Coach contains 300 questions and covers 14 different topics. The bookkeeping questions in this 38-page exam come in the form of fill-in-the-blank, true or false and calculations. It has loads of questions and will test you pretty thoroughly on all the basics you've studied on this site (and on some other topics). For even more questions (covering additional topics like Investments and Bonds), check out the next E-book.
Financial Accounting Exams
The Financial Accounting book is about twice as long as the Bookkeeping E-book, containing 16 exams and a total of 640 questions. This E-book includes all the topics covered in the Bookkeeping Exam, as well as additional topics like Investments and Bonds (not covered in the Bookkeeping Exam). The questions in this 73-page E-book are also more varied, coming in the form of fill-in-the-blank, multiple choice, matching and calculations. All-in-all it's a tougher and more extensive book of exam questions.
Managerial & Cost Accounting Exams
If you need specific practice of managerial- and cost accounting-type exam questions, then the Managerial & Cost Accounting Exams E-book is great. The book is 96-pages in length and contains 520 questions covering 19 topics. It's extensive and tests everything from standard costing to break-even and cost-volume-profit analysis to process costing, activity-based costing and capital budgeting.
As mentioned above these exams are all included as part of a membership with
AccountingCoach Pro.
The membership has a one-time fee of $49. That may seem like quite a bit, but they do offer tons of materials in this package. The AccountingCoach materials are the only exam materials I recommend. The membership package includes 6 exams (the 3 main ones above plus another 3 more), over 4 hours of seminar videos and a whole bunch of self-study materials such as explanations and quizzes, a dictionary, a cheat sheet and more. So you get a lot of materials for what you pay.
Here are some images from the seminars they offer:

Note: The materials provided by
AccountingCoach
are based on the U.S. curriculum, and so contain various terms and concepts that are specific to the U.S. Nonetheless, when going through the papers I found that the vast majority of the questions apply world over.
